In downtown Santa Barbara there is a fountain with live turtles, sunbathing.

 

Down the Hill to the Beach

Today I took my first walk down the hill to the beach below my studio.  Beautiful sunny day.  Animal tracks.  Uplifted marine sediments.  Painted houses in the distance.

Frida the Ginger Cat and Jimmy the Black Cat

Frida (lives in Davenport)

The orange cat wanders free all over Davenport.  She (or he) is very soft.  I call her Frida, the Ginger Cat.  Jimmy (I call him “Jimmy Dean”) hangs out outside my painting studio 3 miles S. of Davenport.  He is beautiful and sleek.  He was in the truck with his human companion when I took this photo
